HELP PASS PHARMACY LAW ® was founded by Steven Strauss, Ph.D., R.Ph. He is Professor of Pharmacy Administration, Emeritus, and formerly Director of both the Retail Drug Institute and the Division of Pharmacy Administration at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York.
He served two five year terms, from July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2010 as an Auxiliary Member, New York State Board of Pharmacy, involved with professional disciplinary hearings.
He offers 45 years of knowledge and experience teaching pharmacy and drug regulatory affairs laws to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as candidates for the MJPE examinations in Florida, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
He is a licensed pharmacist in Florida, New Jersey and New York.
He has had six books (and numerous revised editions) and 75 articles published relating to pharmacy law and drug regulatory affairs, and has lectured on these topics throughout the United States, Carribean island countries and Europe.
He has received wide acclaim for creating and implementing the Master of Science in Drug Regulatory Affairs academic program at the College of Pharmacy in 1990, the first such innovative and trendsetting program in the world at that time.
Dr. Strauss was awarded the B.S. in Pharmacy and M.S. in Pharmacy Administration degrees by the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, and the Ph.D. degree by the University of Pittsburgh (PA).
He is/was a member of and has held appointed and elected offices in many professional, scientific and civic organizations, some of which are: Regulatory Affairs Professional Society, American Society for Pharmacy Law, Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society, American Medical Association, American Society of Health Care Pharmacists, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and Alpha Zeta Omega Pharmaceutical Fraternity.
